New managing director at Equity Direct Broking

Equity Direct Broking Limited sales director, David Birch, is being promoted to managing director to lead the further expansion of its successful affinity business.
His appointment follows the growth of EDBL’s combined motor and home sales by 28% since the turn of the year, the renewal of several strategic affinity partnerships and signing of new deals with high profile brands including Spanish financial giant, Banco Santander. EDBL also launched motor and home insurance schemes for the Royal British Legion under the ‘Poppy Insure’ brand.
David is also being appointed to IAG UK’s executive committee group. He takes up both roles on January 1, 2010.
