Important information for clients affected by air travel restrictions

Equity Red Star has today confirmed that the continuing incidents of disruption to air travel caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, including any ongoing ash cloud resulting from the original eruption in April 2010, mean they can no longer be regarded as ‘unforeseen events’.
Under the usual terms and conditions of our travel insurances, there is no cover in place for these disruptions to services or for any uninsured losses.
Customers are reminded that airlines have a responsibility to assist passengers if their flight is cancelled or delayed and they should contact their carrier or tour operator to determine the level of assistance available.
